DIY: Mini home updates, that make a huge difference.
It's been quite a while since I've shared my lastest living room update. I woke up this morning admiring just how cool, and easy it can be to transform a living space.
Frames are a great place to start. There are tons of shapes, sizes, and colors, to help get that look you're going for. My frames are all from Ikea. They were all under $20!
Not only are frame options endless, but so are the images that can go in them. Prints are always a great, affordable option. Remember the above print I got from the Burton x MTTM event? It's so cool framed!
Don't hesitate to get creative! One of my favorites is my Supreme piece that I made with Metrocards! It's something I know I'm going to keep forever.
Another fun DIY you can create in any room, is a mini magazine/book stand. I created mine with a photo-frame holder from Ikea. I substituted frames for magazines! I keep it updated with my current favorites. It makes the area feel cozy, and can easily be refreshed from time to time.

LIVING ROOM
For those that do not know, I recently moved into a new apartment! When I found out I was having a baby, I automatically said to myself, "We need more space". Thankfully, after MONTHS of hunting, my fiance' and I got an apartment last month!
We moved in and are literally getting everything BRAND NEW. We only brought our clothes and one TV with us! It has been so fun to see our apartment transform each day.
Let's start with one side of our living room (which is still nowhere near done!):
That's our 5 month old Labrador, Heather! She's my big baby! Follows mommy everywhere she goes!
Yesterday my fiance' Farren put this shelf up. I automatically began pulling out all of our favorite pieces, and went at the shelf. This was the outcome!

I bought this Buddha with Farren a while back. One day he picked me up from work, and as we were walking, I stopped at the door of a store that had a TON of Buddhas inside. I dragged him in, and this specific one spoke to me. The energy I got from it was so powerful, I knew we needed it in our home.
These are some of my favorites! I'm a big book collector. I like fun books. That black book, "The World According To Karl", is an entire book of Karl Lagerfeld's quotes!
These two Buddhas were gifts from my mom when she went to Puerto Rico last year. They're very special to me.
I've had this Beatbox for ages. I'm in love with the original, so I don't think I will ever buy those new Beats Pill's and what not.
The best Carine Roitfeld magazine cover in my opinion, and The New Order because I love men's fashion just as much as I do women's fashion!
Another purchase I made with Farren, our Charlie Brown Medicon toy! Love him!
We bought our couch before moving into our apartment (so we didn't measure anything). Unfortunately it's too small! We're going to add another piece to it, so it will be bigger soon!
We still have to add another piece to our sofa, an accent chair, and fun artwork throughout the wall! I cannot wait to have it complete and share it with you all!
