FRANK BODY @ CHILLHOUSE

Last week I was invited to a Frank Body event at Chillhouse, and OMG, what a life changer. I was treated to an amazing massage, using Frank Body's new Express-o Coffee Srub and it was phenomenal.

I had never heard of Frank Body prior to the event, but was able to meet the founder, who shared all the amazing details behind the brand. For those who are unfamiliar, Frank Body is an Australian made and owned all natural skincare line. They have a range of products for body, face, and lips.

These products are a must try! The scrub left my body feeling so soft and new, the face moisturizer is amazing, and I use the lip balm like every day now!

SCRUB YOUR TROUBLES AWAY: THE POLLEN BLOG

As many of you know, I love trying new products that will benefit my skin, hair, etc.

When I found out Priscilla was dropping a coffee scrub, I was like “Okay, this is a must”. I’ve never tried anything like it, for one, and two, I love supporting dope ass women!

For those of you who do not know, @priscillalaluna is the owner of www.thepollenblog.com. She shares her “green beauty” methods on both her blog and Instagram.

I began The Pollen Blog after watching a bee documentary. I knew I wanted to begin a blog that displayed more than style, but a little bit of everything that gives me life. I just had no clue what to call it! Pollen seemed fitting after I learned without pollen there is no life.

I started making this scrub for my roommates, and people I knew who complimented my skin, then before I knew it I was designing my packaging, shooting, and launching a scrub line.

So why do you want it?

Coffee and fine grain sugar have so many amazing properties in it, like ridding of cellulite and stimulating blood flow. All the other popular coffee scrubs on the market use large coffee grains and sea salt, which most people don’t know this, but sea salt is so abrasive for your skin! I also added a high grade, cold pressed blend of essential oils that help add vitamins back into your skin, long lasting moisture that absorbs and oils such as vitamin c to help boost radiance.

I've had the pleasure of trying the coffee scrub and it is so BOMB. My skin feels super smooth and restored after I use it!

The scrub is really only the beginning and I want all my products to truly embody what I represent and believe in as a person. The products and style ethics I stand behind, so there’s definitely going to be a large range of products from apparel to skincare in the future!

SELF CARE SUNDAY: THE ORDINARY, BARIBONI, & CHANEL.

I've always kept it pretty simple when it comes to skincare. I like to use natural products, and homemade remedies. As of late, I've been very interested in natural oils. I love the way they make my skin feel and look, plus my face stays moisturized for the entire day.

I recently purchased a few The Ordinary products and they are really amazing.

From left to right: 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil, Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%, and Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%.

The Moroccan Argan Oil can be used on both your face and hair, which I love. It supports healthy hair, and hydrates skin. The Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution is a brightening serum with stabilized vitamin C derivative. The Vitamin C Suspension helps with skin tone and signs of aging. This one I don't use as often, but it's nice to have to use about once a week.

If you're in NYC, you can purchase these products and more goodies, over at DECIEM The Abnormal Beauty Company at 26 Prince Street. If not, they are super accessible online, like at Sephora.com.

Alongside The Ordinary products, I've been using these great BaraBoni coconut mask sheets. I'm a little coconut obsessed, being that it can serve so many purposes! I really love the way the mask sheets make my skin feel after using them. You can buy assorted packs or individuals, in beauty stores and online. Some of my favorite main ingredients are Aloe, Pomegranate, Cucumber, and Honey.

You can't forget about your lips when taking care of your face. With this NYC wind and cold weather, my lips have required a little extra attention. I use lip scrubs and masks, and then apply Chanel Hydra Beauty afterwards. It's also nice to do right before bed, if you want to wake up with super smooth lips.

Keep me posted on if you add these items into your skincare routine, and if you have any products you suggest to keep skin smooth and bright!

LET'S FACE IT.

If you have me on Snap Chat (@king_desss), then you've seen the latest obsession I have with cleansers, and moisturizers, and all that jazz. I've gotten questions about how the products are working, and what suggestions I have in regards to my favorites for others to get into, depending on there needs and wants.

So first off, let me tell you how the obsession started: Kristen Noel Crawley. I'm honestly a big fan. I love how well she takes care of her skin, hair, and nails. I'm someone who doesn't break out, like ever, but after following her for so long I thought to myself, "How much better could my skin get if I start using some products like she does". I stopped wondering, and went for it.

NOW I'M OBSESSED.

Here's the lineup:

From left to right:

  • Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins, Mega-Bright, Dark circle minimizer. I use this every morning and every night. I am not a fan of my dark circles, so hopefully this will help out. I just started using it, and clearing up dark circles definitely takes time.
  • Origins, GinZing Energy-boosting Moisturizer. I use this every morning after I wash my face. I really like the feel and smell of it.
  • Clean & Clear, Deep action exfoliating scrub. Pretty good everyday drugstore scrub. I love the way it feels on my skin while applying it and afterwards. I've seen a change in the appearance of my skin when using it.
  • Origins, Original Skin, Renewal serum with Willowherb. I apply this serum maybe once or twice a week. Depending on if I use a clay mask that day. It feels amazing.
  • Origins, Original Skin, Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. Love this. I apply and leave it on for 10 minutes. It seems great, and smells even better.
  • Dior, Purifying Cleansing Milk with Crystal Iris Extract. I love Dior products. This feels so good on my skin. You're supposed to apply it and wash it off, but I let it soak into my skin. Really feels like milk.
  • Chanel, Foaming Mousse Cleanser, Balance + Anti-Pollution. Another really good cleanser. Totally different feel from the other cleansers I've been using. The smell is amazing and it's really light and fresh on my skin.
  • Dior, Capture Totale Dream Skin, Global Age-Defying Skincare. Love this. The serum feels really nice. I use it after I cleanse my face.
  • Origins, GinZing, Refreshing Scrub Cleanser. This scrub really feels fresh. I really feel like I have a fresh, clean face after using it.

Though it isn't pictured here, today is the first time I used the Origins Modern Friction Scrub, and I love it. The sales rep at Origins gave me a sample to test it out and I really like it. It kills all the dead skin on your face. Definitely buying it.

A few months back I was introduced to The Face Shop. I was gifted a set of their real nature masks, and THEY ARE AMAZING. They are super cheap, and feel so good. You leave the face sheet on for 10 minutes and remove them afterwards, leaving your skin so refreshed. I like to do these in the morning when I get ready, and let the residue stay on my face all day. It brightens your face and feels amazing. They come in so many different flavors like honey, rice, avocado, cucumber, and you get the rest.

If you guys have any questions about an individual product or suggestions on skincare (as I've been researching like crazy) feel free to reach out to me via the comments, on Snap Chat, or shoot me an email to info@roifemme.com.

xo
