DIY Denim
I've been getting a few questions lately about the denim jacket I've been wearing on my Instagram, @kingdes
I recently purchased a reworked cropped Levis jacket from Nasty Gal. It's my absolute favorite. Denim jackets are the perfect transitional piece. Go from daytime chill to nighttime glam, EASY!
Sometimes I wear it with my sleeves up, sleeves down, wrists buttoned, wrists unbuttoned, literally everything. I've worn it to run errands and I've worn it to dinner. Again, it's the perfect transitional piece.
Even though I purchased mine distressed, you can DIY! Simply find a denim jacket that you love and make it your own. Scissors and sandpaper will take you a long way!
If you want a jacket that already has that vintage look, hit a thrift store and you will definitely find one. If not, you can buy a brand new one and get to work! It's all about those little details, so I suggest distressing the collar and the wrists for sure! Once you've distressed your jacket to your liking, throw it in the washing machine. This will pull at those distressed strings and give you a BOMB finished product!
